Why does my VPN work intermitantly 619 error - Mostly does not work.

I have a laptop with a few vpn connections attached. From home I can vpn into anyone. From the office I can only VPN into one site the rest give me an error 619 after checking username and password. Once in a while it goes through from a normal pc on the lan in the office but very rarely. I have compared the two VPN's and it seems all settings are the same. WAZUP?

Can you check the routing table, may be routing table is not allowed to change when your laptop at office. This could be due to the logon policy at your office. When multiple C2S VPNs needs to be established from one laptop, based on each VPN client policy your routing table get change. this is called split tunnel i belive.

When  you are at work, perhaps the Firewall/gateway/router is restricted to a number of simultaneous VPN's. For example, 2 other people have VPN connections open already and you try to open a 3rd, yours fails. When 1 of the other 2 people drop off their VPN, then yours will connect. You probably do not have this contention at home and that is why it works always.
There are only 3 of us working in the office. Good answer though checked with my collegues. One does not know how to spell VPN.

Thanks Guys - We apparently have a network guru coming to inspect our LAN next week. I appreciate the comments.

Was apass through issue. It is best not to have a wireless/ switch/ modem all in one. Just use a straight forward adsl modem as a bridge and let the VPN device keep all the settings. BUT you all knew that right?

Didn't I mention that?

"Make sure then that the router you have at work is capable of VPN passthrough"
