thanks Husy, here is what i did<br />
COnfigured RRAS on server 2003, and configured user to be able to connect to the server remotely.<br />
Now the RAS connection works fine and the user is authenticated. But now when i try to connect to server it doest recognise the name. Any suggestions.<br />

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Please make sure VPN client acquires the DNS server IP address in connection status. Also please check if it acquires the IP from DHCP or not.<br />

I just bought a new dell power edge server, its configured with windows 2003 server as a file n print server. I need to setup RAS on windows 2003 server so that we can connect to it remotely. I need help configuring RAS on windows 2003 server. I am a novice user so please avoid short cuts and detail explaination would be appreciable.<br />

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
