Ethernet Driver won't install?

I have a Precision 670 Desktop Tower that I installed 2003 Enterprise Edition on.

For some reason it will not pick up the Ethernet Network Drivers in Device Manager.

I used the Dell Driver CD that came with the Desktop but after running it it says it's installed. For some reason in device manager, it shows up with a question mark. When I pu in the Dell Driver CD and install under Server 2003, it does not come up with anything. Infact, I had to go to XP to install the Chipset driver and NIC driver (which doesent work)

The only connection I have is the 1394 connection but thats not right.

Anyone have any ideas?

So your saying that I cannot manually install the correct driver because the OS will not recognize it?

So it's impossible to install this driver using Windows 2003 Server?

That is my understanding from my research on the Dell site, yes. You *may* be able to contact Dell support, explain the situation and see if they will provide you with other options.

I have a Dell Precision 670 that I use as a server that has been running W2003 Server for 1.5 years. I used the Dell NIC driver for Windows XP for under W2003. If you want an updated driver you can download it from Intel's website. My two Precision 670's have Intel 1000MT's onboard.
