Import Access DB or Tables into SQL SERVER 2005

Last Modified: 2013-11-05
I am a newbie to SQL Server 2005.  I have limited experience with Tansact SQL, and no experience with SQL 2005.  I want to explore SQL 2005 with my data in some of my Acces DBs.  How can I quickly import Access tables or DB into SQL Server 2005.  If there is a link to somewhere that will explain, that works for me.

Thanks to the two of you for responding.  I used Jim's method.

Glad to be of assistance. May all your days get brighter and brighter.

Just a side note on either method: SQL will generally create the text fields as NVarchar instead of Varchar. If you are using only English as your language, you may want to re-develop/edit the data types to be Varchar. NVarchar is the Unicode version  and uses twice the space for the same amount of data.
