Outlook uses AD container text instead of correct e-mail addresses

I am currently moving e-mail users from an Exchange mail server on one domain (External trust) to a different Exchange server on another domain.  Sometimes (especially when there are serveral recepients) their Outlook client grabs the AD container text instead of the correct e-mail address as shown from the Exchange message tracker below:

John Scanlon; Mary Buffington; /O=X SOFTWARE/OU=FIRST ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=JERRYSMITH

In Outlook the addresses would show as follows:

John Scanlon; Mary Buffington; Jerry Smith

But clicking on Jerry Smith in Outlook would reveal the AD container text as shown from the Exchange message tracker.

I've tried rebuilding/redownloading the address books, but this continues to happen randomly.

Also, the users are still members of "ASoftware" domain - but now connect to the "XSoftware" domain's e-mail server using "XSoftware" credentials and are connected via VPN to both domains.

This issue can happen with any recipient of either domain, but I can't find a pattern to when it may happen or which recipient it may happen with.
I'm a little disappointed that there were no responses on this...

In any case I finally found what is happening with this.  Outlook automatic completion cache needs to be cleared or the incorrect listings deleted.

Please be sure to download a new copy of the address book by selecting Tools | Send/Receive | Download Address book

See this link on how to clear the automatic completion cache:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA011240661033.aspx?pid=CL100626971033
The automatic completion listing will rebuild as you send e-mails.

If you want to just find the incorrect listings and delete them:

In the TO: field of a new e-mail message, type the first few characters of the name or e-mail address that bounced until you see the name in the automatic completion listing.  Use the down arrow to highlight the name and press the delete key.

Note that there may be more than one listing with the same name and only one of them may be incorrect, but deleting all of them will correct the issue.
