Can't connect AS400 FTP Client to an internet site

When I try to ftp from our AS400 iseries through our squid firewall to a site on the internet I get the message "Cannot connect to host xx.xx.xxx.xx at address xx.xx.xxx.xx.  Try again later."    I can ftp to that same site from my windows XP machine from behind the same firewall.  I can also ftp from the AS400 to my windows machine (both behind the firewall).  Can anyone help me ftp from the AS400 to the internet site?

Please supply operating system version/release. I think in V4R2, the default client transfer mode was changed to passive, so you might need to send a SENDPASV subcommand to toggle the mode at the beginning of your scripts.

I toggled the port but still the same message.  I have been working on this for some time with no success so I think I will find an alternative.  Thanks for your efforts.
