Default printer setting keeps going back to another printer after logon

Hello,

I have an issue changing the default printer on some computers, after loging in it always goes back to before. Environment: Win2003 Server, WinXP Pro, server-based print queues. Previously, logon scripts had been setup per department in group policy to make printer mappings, and to also force the default printer based on department (OU).

Over 2 weeks ago I removed these logon scripts and the associated policies, but I still have some machines that keep going back to the old default printer. How do I get rid of this?

Thanks in advance

Are they getting their logon script from AD....    netlogon ?, as opposed to sysvol ?
Open up one of the users in AD...click the "profile" tab.
also check the default domain policy..  If you run gpresult from command line it will show you the GPO's that are being applied.

Thanks for your response and sorry for the delay.

There's nothing on the AD "profile" tab for the user, and the default domain policy doesn't do any mappings. This was a VBS script in the xxx\User\Scripts\Logon\ folder that mapped 2 printers and set one of them as default. It was tied to the user's OU under UserConfig/WindowsSettings/Scripts/Logon.

I also used GP results wizard in AG Admin and looked through all the GPOs applied to the user/computer combination-- there's a single logon script that just maps drives and nothing else.

This is just very strange.

Oops, I meant to say "I also used GP results wizard in GP Admin..."

I've also noticed that some of this user's applications print to both of her mapped printers at the same time each time she prints.
