Unable to sync OneNotes Mobile 2007 from WM5 pocket PC - "Attention Required"

I have just installed the Office Suite 2007 (Ultimate) which includes OneNote Mobile 2007 for Pocket PCs. My synch relationship between the AT&T 8525 pocket PC and my XP SP2 desktop works fine for all the Outlook categories, but not OneNotes, even though OneNotes seemed to install just fine on the handheld device. In ActiveSync 5.0 Options, OneNote is listed, and I did check the check box nect to it, but synchronization produces an "Attention Required" error message each time. On the handheld, the notes documents are automatically saved in the "Program Files / Microsoft Office OneNote ..." directory, and there does not seem to be any way to save them anywhere else, such as in the My Documents directory. Every have uninstalled and reinstalled each of these software components multiple times in varying sequences, but without success. The question is urgent, because I start school in a couple of days, and the ONLY reason I purchased Office 2007 was for the OneNotes software and its purported ability to sync with a hanheld! Microsoft tech support is, as usual, not even an option worth considering. Thanks!

I found the solution. (installing Microsoft Mobile 6 does not solve the problem -- forget about it!) OneNote does not automatically create the sync file on the desktop PC, as the installation notes would suggest. On the desktop, one needs to open OneNote and manually create a new notebook, and name it "OneNote Mobile" (EXACTLY like that.) Accept all the default options offered, such as the directory in which the new notebook will be saved, etc. (It is always possible to move the notebook later to a more desirable directory.) Then perform a sync. Suddenly the dreaded "needs attention" message disappers, and your OneNote Mobile messages appear in that notebook on the desktop PC. There may be a few little glithches initially, but basically the desktop and mobile systems now 'talk' to each other. To move the newly created OneNote Mobile notebook to a different directory later, right-click on its tab and select Properties. The rest is a piece of cake.
