I have a stored procedure that populates data into a table. One of the columns is varchar(4096)
The stored proc writes against 3 identical databases on seperate servers with no issues except for one server. The issue is that I can not get any more than 255 chars into it on one particular server.
I have checked and double checked the table design and constraints and they are identical across all 3 databases.
I have also checked that the linked servers are all set up the same way.
I do not believe that the issue is around a) table design, b) the stored proc, c) the linked server setup.
Any one know what else it could be??? i.e why cant i get more than 255 chars into a varchar(4096)???
