I installed Linux UBUNTU on It's own separate HD, but its bootloader(GRUB) is on the MBR of my WIN XP installation. After days of working on this , I finally got it right.  It installed like a dream.

Here is the problem.  I CANNOT GET MY USER NAME/PASSWORD RIGHT. How dumb could I be to not write it correctly?  I have tried dozens of combos before I had to quit.

1.  So I ask does anyone know the commands for UBUNTU to change my password? And also how to I get to the command terminal?

2.  Should I reinstall this thing? Is that what is neccessary?

3. How do I uninstall it first, if I have to do that?

It does not show up anywhere in the disk it is installed in, but it gets me to the password screeen, then I am done because of my stupidity.

Please help.
