Steps to use exchange 2003 front-end server
What's the step by step process for putting in a front-end server for exchange 2003? And when can I do it (how much downtime will it cause)? I just need the steps MS expects me to take, nothing related to external IPs or the like. Say if I have 5 exchange servers, and 2 are remote offices on other domains, and one needs to be a front end.
Is it as simple as going into exch system manager, right clicking on the server, select it as front-end, then immediately select the other servers as back-ends?

Wow, that easy. Cool. MS really wants you to buy a front-end server instead of configuring OWA for yourself.
Oh, what sort of down-time can I expect?
Thx for the tips.

Ah yes, no down time here... All mailboxes will remain available the whole time (unless you have to move them from the server you want to make a front end ofcourse...)
