message queues during reboot
What happens to the pending messages in the Exchange Server message queues during a reboot.
Are they deleted and the sender resubmits or are they purged and lost forever, or do they just get re-processed after the reboot?

If they are internal users then your email client should hold them in the outbox until it connects with the server. If it's an external user they it would depend on the SMTP server sending it and how many times it may try resending before it just stops.
