i have a client that has a netgear router and then plugged into that is a linksys access point. they want to secure there wireless so only they can get into it. I know how to do this on a linksys wioreless router but never had to do it on a access point. any help?
Watch Question

what model do you have and what are you configuring on the access point?
the configuration is usually the same on all devices just the web interface looks different. IF you still have the manual for the device this should help you get started on what to do.

The wireless security setup is the same on the Linksys AP as it is the Linksys wireless router. A Wireless router is just an Access Point with built in router functions or the opposite. Either way, you just set up the Wireless security section for WPA or WPA2 (suggested) and change the default AP password.

ok thank you what is teh ip for the access point normally
