Help stopping job that is running a stored proc

I have a "job" that just executed a stored procedure and i want to stop it.  I have tried right clicking the job under the sql server agent in Management Studio as well as right clicking the job in the  job activity monitor.  I know its still running because the table it is populating is stil incrementing.

if the stored proc calls an external program, find that the process for that program in task manager and manually end it.

the stored proc just executes SQL, how would I identify the process?
