Installing a SSL cert on a blackjack
Hello,
I currently have a website that I am trying to secure with digital certificates. That function works correctly, the brower supplies the cert and then redirect the brower to the site, works perfectly. My problem lies with when I try to install a personal certificate on a Samsung Blackjack with windows mobile 5.0 device. I transfer the cert to the phone and run it, it asks me to install it, i click yes. I get no confirming message or anything of that nature, it returns to the file explorer. When I go the site via the phone, the internet browser ask for the cert I am using. My question is how do I get IE mobile to use the required cert to access the webpage? The certs are correct and they have been tested on other devices ( computers) my problem lies with the phone and the secuirty that is preventing this. I have heard that a .cab file will install it correctly but I do not know how to write one, help on that would be great as well.

To install the root certificate on your Windows Mobile 5 device:
Download the root certificate to your PC in DER format with a .cer file extension (YourCert.cer"). Copy the downloaded root certificate to your device using ActiveSync.
On your mobile device, locate the imported file using File Explorer and click on it.
The device will display the following prompt: "You are about to install YourCert.cer certificate issued by http://www.whatever.com. Do you want to continue?" (If you saved the root under a different name, that file name will show up in the prompt.)
Accept the prompt to install the root certificate on your device.

I have tried the action of transfering the cert to the phone and installing it, that worked for active sync function. If you would go to a site that requires certs, it will ask you what cert you wish to use, my problem i can not get the internet explore to use the installed certs, you can not choose what cert to use. How would you correct this problem.
