user control Smart part creation and deployment
Hello Experts,
I am new to WSS 3.0, smartparts, webparts. I have successfully installed ReturnofSmartpart. I tested the given smartpart shipped with the documentation. Now the problem is once I try to make my own user control and deploy it onto my sharepoint, I m getting this error ' couldn't load mycontrol.ascx ' . I have gone through different articles, jan Blog .... but still unable to find simple way to create and deploy my own created user control.
can u plz tell me, how can I make a simple user control as web part and deploy onto the sharepoint site ?
I m using
1. VS 2005
2. WSS 3.0
3.Windows server 2003

it says that by using smartpart, one can build web user control and deploy it onto the sharepoinnt as smartpart which is ultimately a form of web part. in his vidoe, he has given a sample web user control and successfully deploy it onto the sharepoint. I also tried and it work perfectly fine. The problem comes when I ceate my own web user control and try to deploy it on my sharepoint site as smartpart.
Plz help me out!

Did you create a Sharepoint deployment solution? Manually installing web controls or parts in Sharepoint is actually pretty tricky to do. It's safer and easier to build a deployment solution.

In fact I am looking for making a deployable solution package for my ASP.NET 2.0 web parts application which is built in Visual Studio 2005. OR How can I deploy my ASP.NET 2.0 web parts application developed in Visual Studio 2005 that contains User controls, onto the WSS 3.0 ?????????
The application I made runs perfectly fine on local host (Web browser). But Now i don't know how can I deploy that Application onto the WSS 3.0.
Can somebody help me out and plz refer to me easy to follow arctile, video or anything...
