Hi,

Sorry to post this as its probably been explained before.  I have read through many posts here but am still not 100% clear and would like some advice on my scenario:

1.  I removed a dynamic disk from my old PC which is the 2nd disk and only stores data.

2.  I connected it up to my new PC as the 2nd disk.  The new PC started up and the new hardware icon appeared briefly in the systray .

3.  In disk management the disk showed up as foreign so I removed the disk and put it back into the original old PC.

4.  Now in disk management on the old PC the disk is showing up as Dynamic / Offline.

I have the option to reactivate the disk but this will destroy all the data right?

I take it all my data should still be on the disk and I need to use some sort of recovery program.

Is this correct or can I just simply reactivate the disk and my data will still be safe?
