XS vs TEXT datatype when installing Mantis on XAMPP
I'm trying to install Mantis 1.0.8 on XAMPP 1.6.2 (Windows). Using a fresh install of XAMPP and Mantis, securing XAMPP and MySQL, I ran the install page of Mantis. This resulted in an error.
#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'XS NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY (config_id, project_id, user_id)
)TY' at line 7
After searching for this, I found the following post, which says the XS datatype is the problem.

I edited the SQL script created by Mantis, and replaced "XS" with "TEXT". Then I executed this script in phpmyadmin. That worked, and it seems I have Mantis running now. The only question I have is whether this can cause any problems?
