I am receiving an error when I attempt to edit any .aspx pages on our WSS web site using FrontPage 2003. FrontPage is responding with "The server could not complete your request.  Contact your Internet service provider or Web server administrator to make sure that the server has the FrontPage Server Extensions or SharePoint Services installed."  Further details: Object moved, Object moved to here  I can modify the pages through SharePoint but need to make additional changes through FrontPage.  Any ideas on what to check?

Install FrontPage ServerExtensions on the site or open the site directly from the drive by right-clicking on the file and select "Open With..." "FrontPage". This will open the file/site in FrontPage and you can make you changes and save the file.

My recommendations is to open the site directly from the drive and not mess with FrontPage Server Extentions. You have all the capabilities except you cannot use "wysiwyg" features for server side actions and you cannot use open in browser for your aspx files. Not a big deal just open IE and view the site normally as you make changes.

Ooh, don't install Front Page extensions on WSS unless you want to break the website!  Sharepoint installs it's own extensions.

Open With..." "FrontPage was working until recently.  Now we receive the error message mentioned above.  We are also no longer able to edit Content Editor Web Parts.

what version of WSS are you using? If 3.0 then you will need to use SharePoint Designer, as FrontPage is no longer supported.

We are using SharePoint 2003.
