On last minute notice I have to replace a 2003 SBS server with a 2003 standard because of some SBS limitations. I'm loading the OS on the new box now. The new server is getting the same name so I'm building it on a separate network to get it going and am hoping to swap them out somewhat seamlessly.

I should be able to migrate the Exchange store through Backup Exec to the new server and I'm not too worried about rebuilding the permissions on the share structure, but I'd love to not have to rebuild the AD. There are about 75 users. I didn't build the server originally and the folks the maintained it before I was hired didn't document anything.

Is there a way to take a backup of AD from 2003 SBS and restore it to the 2003 Standard box?

I can't do a full System State transfer because the hardware is different. Is it possible to just pull AD from the System State? I've been in 2003 for a while, but I've never had to do this before. Thanks.
