I have a new Cisco 2960
I want to connect thi sswitch to a Cisco 3550 using trunk to sync vtp data
on the 3550 end I've configured port 48:
interface FastEthernet0/48
 description trunk to cisco2960
 switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
 switchport mode trunk
 duplex full
 speed 100
 spanning-tree portfast
end

this is how i connect trunks to all my 2650 routers and it is working (with 2950)
now on the other end - 2960, I can't get  "switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q"
switchport trunk ? -> doesn't even have the encapsulation option.
so my question is: how do I config the 2960 or what do I have to change on 3550 to make it work
also, I should use a cross cable, right?

thx,
Chuku
