Webcam is used by another application?

Dear colleagues,
I had recently bought a HP Pavillion TX1120us notebook with integrated webcam.
When I try to use it, Live Messenger tell me it is used by another application (apparently none)
I used also HP Quickplay software, and no image appear to capture.
Windows Movie Maker say there is not camera at all.
I tried to update the webcam driver but Vista's Control Panel say me it is up to date.
I would like to know which is the supposed application using my webcam (is there some tool to know it?) or some hint to fix this problem.
Please notice webcam exists in Device Manager List, and it is not a problem exclusive for Live Messenger.
I have read some stupid answers on the Internet like "Dont use Live Messenger. Use another messenger application"
Thanks in advance,
Jaime.
