Response back from stored procedure

I have a HUge stored procedure that loads data into 10 tables. I need to display a progress bar in C# as the tables are loaded .. I need to know if there is a way the stored proc could send a response back to my C# code as each table finishes loading...like RAISError etc...pls send an example.

is it possible to have 2 simultaneous connections to the same datase...reading from 2 different stored procs?

Should be - asynchronously, of course. Did ages ago with a vb5 app...
