Home network uses private IP addresses behind a wireless router that connect to Internet by DSL.  I want to set up IIS web server on one box in the local private network and be able to browse to it from another within my private network.   I do not want to be able to access the IIS server from the Internet - just from my intranet.  I set up IIS on a XP machine and put up a default web page.  I can browse to it successfully from the machine that is running the server.  But when I browse to it from other machines in the local network I get "Server not found".  I can ping the web server successfully by IP and by name from the other PCs.  I am using host files to link the name to the IP of the server.

What is keeping the browser from being able to find the web server on the local network?
