Unable to use the remote control on IBM BladeCenter Advanced Management Module
We have a full (14 blades) IBM LS20 Blade Chassis.
When clicking the "Start Remote Control" button under the Remote Control Blade task screen, the new window opens and then two message boxes are displayed:
Message
Error while trying to update the blade selection list.
[OK]
and
Change MT owner error
Sorry, Can not Refresh Blade list due to server error
[OK]
I have been unable to locate anything on either the IBM website and the mystical powers of the almighty Google have failed (searching for either of the error messages encased in quotes gives zero hits)
I have emailed IBM asking for assistance, but they are yet to respond (other than an automated "we have recieved your enquiry, thankyou for choosing IBM, etc." message.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks
Alex.

Still no response from IBM :o(
Sparkmaker: I'd already read through the troubleshooting guide, but I read through again (in case you'd spotted somethign that I hadn't) but I still found nothing useful....

Sorry to hear that. I really don't have any thing to add here other than it may be faulty hardware.

Well, you'll be pleased therefore, to know that I found the problem (and resolved it).
By comparing the settings of this chassis with another, we discovered that the TCP port that the KVM runs over was not open. We simply reset the Management Module and it suddenly started to work. We tried the same "fix" on another chassis (with a similar problem with the KVM - but this one just refused to display the video) and it too started working....
Oh and I finally got a reply from IBM which thanked me for my enquirly, but my system had passed the 30 free software support period and that I wanted to pay for support then I would be most welcome (only took them 10 days to work that out!)
Thanks for your help anyway sparkmaker!
