Domain User Accounts

I have a client that wants to configure a few computers to automatically log into the domain with a user account with limited access. It is a windows 2000 native mode domain, and the PC's are Windows XP. Is there a way to write a startup script so that the computer can automatically log into the domain? I know that the computers could be members of a workgroup and still have access to network drives and printers by saving the user names and passwords in XP. That is the way I want to approach this problem, but they want the computers on the domain. Any suggestions?
