HP, Adamm Mover Error: Write Failure!
Hi,
I'm using BackupExec 10D with Windows 2003 SP1 Server Enterpriseto backup our Exchange 2003 Enterprise server. However, the backup errors out with the following error message "HP 1 reported an error on a request to write data to media". Also, I see the 33152 Event ID the event viewer which is "Adamm Mover Error: Write Failure!. We have a StorageTek L20 Library and an internal HP LT02 Ultrium tape drive. Could it be the SCSI card? or the tape drive? We have tried updating the tape drive drivers and SCSI card drivers and new tapes.

I have tried researing the SCSI card with the power cords unplugged from all devices and the latest drivers from Symantec.
I would try changing the cables and updating the firmware on the drive. Also try cleaning the drives with cleaning tape. In most cases the drive is bad from what i have experienced

I've tried looking for the firmware but I can't find it because the tape drive is no longer produced. Also, I have tried cleaning the tape drive. I will try to changing the cable and SCSI card.
