I have a workstation running adobe acrobat 5.0 and when I open acrobat I get this error message...
There was an error while loading the plug-in 'GemSign.API'. The plug-in failed to initialize.
Then when I try to open an pdf file and want to sign the application using Topaz SignatureGem..i get this message....
The plug-in required by this 'Widget' annotation or comment is not available. Information aout the missing plug-in maybe available on Adobe's Web Site.
I tried downloading from Adobe's site but i have no success.

Well I might be WAY off base but have you tried upgrading your version of Java?
there is no problem with the adobe, the plug-in is being damaged or corrupted if it was working fine before
uninstall and reinstall this application Topaz SignatureGem and it should sort out the issue.
if it has never worked, then the plug-in is not supported by this version may be.....try checking with the application that what versions of adobe acrobat does it support and then install the proper version according to this info.

I uninstalled teh signature software and re-installed and had the same problem. So, I went ahead and re-installed Adobe 5.0 and I get the message below , but at least the user is able to use the signature pad once she clicks ok on that error message.

I had installed the gemsign5.exe and it did that same thing, but i never re-installed it after re-intalling adobe 5.0 , so I just did and that fixed the problem.
