OWA change password Page cannot be displayed

I have a new Windows 2003 sp1 Exchange 2003 SP2 setup with IIS 6.0. I went through the steps to enable changing passwords in OWA but when I select change password, I get page cannot be displayed. I setup the virtual directory called IISADMPWD with the correct permissions. Please help.

I usually refer people to the Troubleshooting section at the bottom of this article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297121

Nine times out of ten it resolves the problem!
Check the following MSKB article:

Implementing the Change Password feature with Outlook Web Access
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297121

and on Daniel Petri's site:

I've been there and I did not find the solution. I will look again but I was hoping someone can provide me with some more possible solutions.
I tried both those web sites too.
Which version of page cannot be displayed are you receiving?

DNS error?

File not found?

401, 403, 404?
the page cannot be displayed

the page you are looking for is currently unavailable.

cannot find server of dns errors
IE
Sounds like IISADMPWD may trying to point to a different server (or servername) that isn't published in DNS or you didn't configure IISADMPWD on the Front-End Exchange server.

Do you have just the one Exchange server, or are there multiple servers in a front-end/back-end configuration?
Another option would be that you're trying to enable IISADMPWD without having SSL (https) configured for OWA.
Problem (from the troubleshooting section of the KB Article 297121):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You experience Cannot find server or The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. This behavior may occur when IIS is not configured to allow the Change Password feature, or when the feature is disabled in the registry.

Fix:
-----------
Follow the configuration steps earlier in the article to configure the IISADMPWD virtual directory and enable the PasswordChangeFlags in the IIS metabase.
as always, have backups before making configuration changes.
I have one exchange server with IISADMPWD virtual directory configured.

Do you need enable SSL? I thought you didn't have too. I don't have an SSL certificate.

When you said to enable the PasswordChangeFlags in the IIS metabase, how is that achieved?

I agree that I need SSL but I'd like to test password change before purchasing SSL. I did use the PasswordChangeFlags  and choose option 1. Shouldn't that work without SSL?
Yes.  Be sure to restart IIS to make the change effective.

Use IISRESET from a command prompt or right-click on the server node in IIS Manager and select Restart IIS
I just did but I still get page cannot be displayed.
You may also have to run the following command from a command prompt to enable the password change functionality:

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\inetsrv\iisadmpwd\iispwchg.dll

(Above taken from the following KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/833734/)
Also, in Internet Explorer (on the computer you're testing this from), turn off the "Show friendly HTTP error messages" option in the Tools->Internet Options->Advanced window.  This will show the raw HTTP error instead of the more generic IE "The page cannot be displayed".  If you are using IE7 to test OWA and the password change, what is the URL shown in the address bar on the IISADMPWD popup window?
Try navigating to the to the IISADMPWD url directly.  Point the browser to:

http://your exchange server/IISADMPWD/Aexp4b.asp

or

http://your exchange server/IISADMPWD/Aexp2b.asp
sorry it took me so long to respond but was off-site. I tried this:

http://your exchange server/IISADMPWD/Aexp4b.asp

I was able to change my password from here but still not from within OWA.
Is OWA trying to take you to aexp2b.asp or aexp4b.asp?
how can I find out if OWA is trying to take to aexp2b.asp or aexp4b.asp?
If you install IE7, the popup window for the password change will show the URL its trying to access.
anyone?
Did you figure it out phish?
