Zoo Tycoon2 error on install: "failed to get setupENU.dll language code."

I purchased Zoo Tycoon2 Zookeeper Collection.  I already have Zoo Tycoon2 installed and working well on my computer and have many saved zoos.  (I was interested in the African Adventure and the Endangered Species aspects of the Zookeeper Collection.) When I tried to install Zookeeper Collection, I received an error message that said "failed to get setupENU.dll language code."  I have WindowsXP, 768mb RAM, 240 gig HD.  Do I need to UNINSTALL the original ZooTycoon2 (and lose my saved zoos) before I can get Zoo Tycoon2 Zookeeper Collection to install, or would I get the same error message anyway?

How can I check about that language conflict?  How do I know which other program might be in conflict with ZooTycoon2?  If only 1 game is running at a time how can another game be using the file?
I did delete all the temporary MS files as suggested in the forum link you gave, but that didn't help.

I'll take a look at that Process Explorer, Masqueraid.  I have a (dumb?) question though...if I can't even get the game installed, how will I know what processes it uses?  Process Explorer looks like  a useful utility, if I can figure out what it all means.  I'm not sure I'm techy enough to understand the results when I run the program.
I did download that Process Explorer and had a look at it, but I don't understand what to do with it.  Not that it matters, now, because I took zcrammond's advice and uninstalled the first version of ZooTycoon2 and that did the trick.  I was then able to install the new Zookeeper Collection (which includes ZooTycoon2 as part of the package.)  I was concerned about losing the saved games (my whole family plays and shares this great game....) but the uninstall gave you the option of keeping the saved zoos or deleting them.  I kept them, and all is well now!   I will split the points between you, because Masqueraid mentioned the conflict with another program, and zvrammond suggested the uninstall, and I don't think I would've done the uninstall without both of your inputs.  I appreciate your time and value your opinions.  Thank you for helping me.

No problem, the most important thing is you reach your objective.

TBH I think zvrammond gave you the better advice & if you had known that the zoo files would be saved you would have been there a whole lot quicker!  The great thing now of course is as a result of you asking the question someone can search on this site for 'Zoo Tycoon' & 'setupENU.dll' and now they'll know just what to do straight away.
The problem can be likely fixed by:

Going to %windir%/Installers --> rightclick the Zoo Tycoon .msi (might have to try them all until you find the right one) and select repair.

After the repair completes, insert Disc 1 and right click the drive it's in and select Install.
