Cisco Router USB Ports and ROMMON Upgrade
Just curious if anyone can explain the functionality of the USB ports on the Cisco routers? I've looked for documentation and can't see much. Will any USB stick work? Is there a procedure to make the usb stick work? Or is it a ciso propriatary usb port? The reason I ask this is that it would appear that my router has a ROMMON upgrade that claims to support boot from usb. Which brings me to my next question. Is there a guide for ROMMON upgrades. I can't find it anywhere either.

I've seen that. However, I'm still unclear. Do I have to buy a cisco usb flash to simply copy images/configs to it? I read an article saying that you simply have to put the drive in and do a format command and it will work fine.
Also i have an upgrade for my rom? Is there an outline of this procedure. I've done IOS updates but not ROM.
