CAIN - Whata Wireless Adapter choices?


I want to use Cain to try and crack a few of my sites WEP access points, and am wondering what pcmcia network cards are compatible - cant seem to use the dell onboard intel chipset.

any help?

I would suggest a card with a PRISM 2 chipset, I know those worked with with kismet, not sure about cain and abel. It depends on what packet capture libraries you're using. If you're using winpcap see http://www.oxid.it/ do a search on the page for "chipset" and there's a link to an article with a quick write up on how to get it working.

Broadcom chipsets also work well. I have a Broadcom chipset in the Dell laptop i use at home and cain cracked the wep key I was running.
