LSILogic SAS3041X-R Not Detected
Hello, I've recently attempted to install VMWare ESX 3.02 on a system with an Asus KFN4-D16/SAS motherboard fitted with an LSILogic SAS3041X-R PCI-X card <--on VM's HCL... When I attempt the installation I am getting the Driver Not Found error message (presumably from not detecting the Disk Controller?) I've already disabled the onboard SAS controller, but this hasn't alleviated the issue. Any insight would be great! Thanks!

Yep, I've tried manually supplying it the drivers through the floppy, having obtained them from LSILogic. Still no luck. Any other suggestions would be helpful!

BestWay, I was able to get the installation performed but only by using either HTTP or FTP. I am now beginning to think it was maybe the cd-rom it wasn't detecting? This is strange because it would "start" the pre-installation from the cd-rom but not the install? I am not sure. But in any case, I was able to install, but now I cannot boot from the SAS3041X-R. Any ideas??? It's as if it isn't picking it up as a bootable device but it does pick up the controller with the attached drive.
