Greetings mccsupport !

When you say Incredimail will not connect to internet, do you mean it will not send nor receive emails? What accounts are you using to send and receive?  What is the exact error message?

1. Check if antivirus email check is slowing sending and receiving.  Disable it. Check if other programs running in the background is interfering. Disable one at a time the Firewall, antispyware, antispam, and all Norton programs.

2. Check if outgoing mail server authentication is required. Select that option in account settings and use same settings as incoming server

3. Your ISP may be blocking port 25. Try using alternate port 587.

If no joy, you need to use your ISP SMTP server to send out emails.

4. Uninstall and reinstall Incredimail program. Make sure you have the latest updates.

5. Create a new Windows profile.

6.  Check with email provider Tech Support to determine if server is having trouble.

Hope this helps, war1

In Incredimail in the upper right hand corner it displays that the program is connecting it never shows connected, so yes can not send or received emails, all email settings are ok. ISP is not blocking port 25, only has AVG and Adware. There are no error messages. Only Windows firewall is running. Person does not want to uninstall / reinstall Incredimail.

mccsupport,

Did Send/Receive once worked and has now stopped?

Disable AVG check of email.

Yes it worked once and then stopped. It stopped after he changed Internet packages, from 384 down to 3meg. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not, I suspect it does not.

mccsupport,

Antivirus is likely slowing his retreival of emails.  Disable the AVG check if emails.

I would suggest disable windows firewall and try to install others such as Zone Alarm. Guess this could be the problem. Other thing, check your STMP / POP3 configuration settings and match them with what your ISP has suggested. I would not disable the AVG antivirus as it is a safeguard against any malware.
