Identify your chipset drivers using a diagnostic. These hardware diagnostics are all free:
Everest:

Belarc:
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
Siw:
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/siw.html
Go to the manufacturer's website and dpownload the drivers. Like burrcm says above, you will need to make a driver floppy and press f6 when asked to by setup...

My problem is i reconfigured array and previous operating system has gone.so i do not think i can run hardware diagnostics.
yes it is sata drives. i tried with adaptec disc making a floppy and supplying it pressing F6. it did not recognise.it asked for manufacture's driver.
I could find only one serial number number on the motherboard from which i could know it is ASUS -PC- DL deluxe motherboard with intel xeon processor.
can you please find the drivers for me .

Then it force you to reboot the PC right ?? Check under BIOS, there got 1 setting that you need to "Enable / On" before you can reinstall the OS ....... Check under BIOS carefully ...... latest model have this kind of feature ......

To do that we need to identify the chipset, and to do that we need to know the identity of the mobo.
If your board has an Award or AMI BIOS, you may be able to identify the chipset from the BIOS ID. Take a look at this:
http://www.wimsbios.com/awardnumbers.jsp
If not, you may need to determine the make and model of the board. The model number is usually silkscreened on there somewhere. Look for any numbers/letters near the edge of the board
How come you do not have the installation CD? Is it an OEM board (from a major manufacturer's pc, like HP, eMachines or whatever)? If it is, try the manufacturer's website.
ASUS motherboard id help is here:

Download appropriate drivers here:

Good luck!!!
