I wish to use a modem to automaticly receive some data and log it into a flatfile. I want the modem to answering each call (each hour) without the human assistance. For now, i'm trying to find a way to setup PuTTYtel to lauch every hour trough Task Scheduler and wait for the incoming call and the close after 5 minutes. It works but i find it dumb to do this that way...

Do you know if there is a better way to do this?

You can use the trial version of voiceguide (http://www.voiceguide.com/) it's a complete system to develop ivrs, you have control of the call, you can log users and a lot of things.
