Linux in a Windows network
Dear Xperts,
For my end paper in Networking I have to make a very detailed paper on how a Windows network with Domain Controller and Active Directory can be expanded with Linux clients and servers.
Basically the starting situation would be company domain with a domain controller, an exchange server, file server and 5 clients.
To this situation I would have to add 2 Linux clients which would have to log into the domain, identify themselves in active directory and then be able to use all the same resources as the microsoft clients. (exchange mail, access shares)
In a later stadium I would have to add a new linux server (samba file server) that can be accessed by both the windows and the linux clients.
I have just received the topic and I am in the beginning of my information gathering round.
Could anyone please tell me how to start tackling this problem?
Any pointers in the right direction?
I am not asking for the complete solution, as I have to learn this, and half the process is the learning part, but I have no idea on how to start really...
I would have to set up a test-environment to test and demonstrate this too later.
Maybe somebody has allready done this for real, or something similar?
Thank you in advance for any help or advice.
Serge

Of course no one should do this for me,
I said that myself in the post,
I am just asking for tips, pointers, advise, ...
people with experience in this area who might warn about some pitfalls
Don't you think I am doing some research myself,
I have been google-ing like crazy...
But any little bit helps, especially first hand experience advise.
