Is there a way to embed an image to an email so that the user will not have to select "Display images" on his client to display it?

If you have created an e-mail with an embed image and send it of to the receiver, but the receiver has to click 'display images' you'll have to change a setting on the receivers client.
Is the receiver using an online service (,, etc) and reads this e-mail from a local application (Outlook, Outlook Express etc) or what's your setup?
