What USB version is PCI Intel 82371 AB/EB PCI to USB Universal Host Controller Using?

Hi Everyone:

I am wondering what USB version the following PCI card is using: Intel 82371AB/EB PCI to USB Universal Host Controller Card.  I "think" it is an older card using an older USB version, like 1.1, but, I am not sure.

Any information regarding this question will be appreciated.

       Thank you

Hi

Thank you so much for the reply.  If I replaced this card with a 2.0 card eventhough it is an older motherboard, will I still get the data throughput of a 2.0 card?

The PCI USB 2.0 card will give throughput as its transfer speed. Also make sure you have all service packs and updates for your windows OS (I assume you use XP with service pack 2).

Hi

Thank you so much for the information.  After reviewing your thoughts on this matter, we will be going out tomorrow and purchase a PCI to USB 2.0 card.

        Many thanks once again.
