problem with contacts replication

I have a problem with the replication of contacts folders.
I have a contacts folder under 'public folders' which has for example 300 contacts in it.
When I look at another exchange box public folder I only see 30 contacts.
This is not only witgh public folders, but also with sharing of an individual contacts folder.
I see this behavior with members of a distribution list.
I tested this on several pc's/mailboxes.

What could this be?

Nothing was upgraded, this is a fresh installation of sbs 2003 with exchange latest sp.
No administrative group is renamed.

So when I try to share a distribution group, through sharing of an individual mailbox contacts, or even with a public folder, the result stays the same.
Some of the contacts in the groups are displayed, but only two or three of the 30-50 in it .... .

Solved this problem myself, looks like it was the way I copy-pasted the folders that made the difference, very strange.
