MYSQL Starting error

After installed mysql server on linux centos 4.5. after starting up the server, the error come up.
Starting MySQL/etc/rc.d/init.d/mysqld: line 159: kill: (5205) - No such process
Please advice how to fix this error

    are you trying to restart it or start it?

    also you should check mysql log files: /var/log/mysql*
