Experts,

I am getting the following error with a JSP application running on Tomcat:

java.io.UnsupportedEncodingException: Cp874

Now, the application is a helper application from a third party so I am not sure what I all I will be able to do on solving this myself but I am hoping to resolve this on my own instead of getting the third party involved. The problem seems to be occurring when the application is trying to read in configuration setting parameters and has issue with retrieving information from the file.

Now, what's weird is that there is a another helper application that is very similar to this one ... uses a config file and everything just like this one does and it is not having an issue. So, I am a bit stumped as to what is going on and I am looking for suggestions as to a way to fix or work around the situation.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Wally Atkins

yes it is ... it is another application on the same Tomcat server ... let me know if there is anything additional that I could provide that might help give insight into this situation

I will try the native2ascii utility and let you know if that helps ... thanks for the tip!
hopefully you have already checked it but check that charsets.jar is available in the classpath of this app.
