Removing Old Exchange 2003 from New Exhcnage Orgainzation

I have build a new exchange 2003 server. I used exchange task to move over all mail boxes from the old exchange 2003 server to the new exchange server. The new exchange server is now the master. We are now using the new exchange box.

I now want to remove the old exchange server from the exchange organization. Site replication is disable. When I use add remove programs to to remove exchange from organization, I receive this error message:

The component "Microsoft Exchange Messaging and Collaboration services" cannot be assigned the action "Remove" because:
-The Microsoft Exchange Site Replication Service is enable on this server. You cannot uninstall this server until the Microsoft Exchange Site replication service is disabled. use the exchange system manager to disable this service and try the ininstall again.

We don't have this service running. How can we resolve this problem? We need to remove this server from our organization.

Not to belabor the obvious, but you have checked out http://support.microsoft.com/kb/833396/ already, correct?

Thanks for the direction. Used the direction on removing from add remove programs after all mailboxes was deleted. The same error mentioned earlier to you was posted. I then tried to remove exchange manually. Then I went to Exchange system manager, administrative group, and to my server that we want to remove and selected all task to remove server. We receievd this error:

The system cannot find the file specified. Facility: Win32. ID no:c007002. Exchange System Manager.
