Problem with Meeting requests

I was wondering if you could help, I looked through support.microsoft.com for outlook, and couldn't find this issue. Do you know anything off the top? Scenario: I create a meeting, send an invite to rob. rob accepts, then I changed the date/time for the meeting and click "Save and Close" This prompts me with "You have changed the meeting, would like to send this updated meeting to attendees now?" and I click yes. Sometimes the calendar event doesn't close after I click yes. When this happens, either rob doesn't recieve the updated meeting, or only I do, or only he does, and the calendar event doesn't change for me. Not a big issue, but annoying, as sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. do you know of anything? Thanks.
Not sure if it's an issue with exchange or the client. I was thinking of trying a detect & repair on outlook first.
