Exchange 2003 mailbox not receiving email

I run our office with Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server and users with Outlook 2003.

I have a user who had a period of time where he wasn't receiving email.  He sent email from an external account to his exchange account.  Then all of a sudden he started receiving email, but never received his test email or the regular 100's of email he says he normally gets.

Any idea where I can begin looking?

Thanks.

How long was this "period of time"? Is it possible that mail was rejected. Did he get a bounce message for the test mail he sent?
Is it possible he checked separately from another POP mail client and the missing mail went there and was deleted from the server?

If you have message tracking turned on for your server, you can do some more checking:

The period was from 12-24 hours.

Mail wasn't bouncing back at all.  He checked in Outlook and OWA.

I have tracking enabled and checking with now.
