Win XP "Data Execution Prevention"? Can't print.

I was mapping 2 of my clients computers to a single printer located on a third computer and came across a Win XP warning that I've never seen before.  It was a "Data Execution Prevention" warning and it would not let me print a test page.  The printer is a Canon D800 series.  Win XP recognizes the printer, it is mapped properly but the DEP warning will not let me print even a test page.  How can I get around this or turn off DEP?
