You can get a Content Services Module for the ASA. It is basically WebSense on a module:

Don't forget to budget for annual subscription renewal.

I would also highly recommend iPrism appliance. Super easy to setup and administer. You can use it as a passive proxy, active proxy (requires setting user's IE settings), or you can use WCCP on the pix to redirect to the iPrism.

Websense alone can get pretty expensive with multiple options, and the multiple server requirements:

BlueCoat has another appliance. Bluecoat was chosen by the US Air Force to control their entire network:

Surfcontrol has a product that integrates with Microsoft ISA, or can stand alone:

correct me if i am wrong !

So cisco ASA supports filtering via thirdparty vendor 'websense'. And for that you would need to buy the filtering engine from websense?

yes that's it and that's for the integration only , you can use gateways which will filter and you can choose your switches to span the gateway port to another feltering engine and you choose to put any filtering engine as your gateway which is the best to go

seems like a task ! Is it better to do it the CiscoASA way or should i just go with SonicWall / Barracuda? Price is not a factor. - setting it up an maintenance is a priority.
