come up with sometning you can remember like a song or movie title and folow these rules; at least 8 characters, replace charicters like a=4, b=8, e=3, g=&, i=!, L=1, o=0, S=5

an example would be TheLordOfTheRings = 1h310rd0fTh3R!n&5

Hello klongest,

A very basic form of password protection is the SSID. You can stop your wireless router/Access Points form broadcasting the SSID, and then only devices that have the correct SSID will be able to access. This is extremely basic, and not really recommended for real-world use. A better option is to turn on encryption.

Most Wireless Routers/Access Points allow Encryption to be turned on. Take a look at your wireless equipment to see which encryption types it supports. Usual ones are WEP or WPA

Put the same Encyprion key into the portable wireless devies and your Access Points and no-one else wil be able to use your network.

Regards,
