How do I upgrade MSN Mac 6.0.2 to 6.0.3 without losing data and preferences?

How can I upgrade my Mac MSN 6.0.2 to 6.0.3 without losing chat logs and all my preferences and display pictures? Also, where are display pictures saved in for Mac MSN?

    Usually when I upgrade I DO NOT lose any preferences, chat history etc.  I see no reason you should lose any of that.

    Updating MSN only overwrites the Application in the Applications folder.

    All settings are stored in the Documents/Microsoft User Data    folder
    OR the ~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft      folder

    IF in doubt .. backup the above files/folders before updating.
