We are migrating to new email host and is considering if we need MAPI service also , as its lil bit expensive.

    Accepted Solution

MAPI is the native Exchange protocol and is much more feature rich and secure than POP or IMAP. Given a choice, I would recommend you use MAPI over any other protocol. Where this is a hosted service, I assume you are talking about RPC over HTTPS.

    Assisted Solution

    MAPI is FAR superior.

You will be able to access each others details and calendars, share contact lists, view public folders, etc.

If it is looking to expensive - go to another provider.  1and1 are cheap, but MS have a whole list of recommended hosts ->
